1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SMAC API or smacprotocol.ai, you agree to these terms.
Terms of Service
2. API License
SMAC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the SMAC API for lawful purposes pursuant to an executed API license agreement. Access is not granted by these terms alone.
3. Prohibited Uses
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the SMAC protocol or any proprietary implementation; (b) use the API to build a competing memory protocol or service; (c) resell, sublicense, or redistribute API access without written authorization; (d) use the API to store or transmit illegal content; (e) attempt unauthorized access to any SMAC subject, user, or company account; (f) inject malicious payloads, scripts, or commands into any SMAC packet field.
4. Rate Limits
API consumers are subject to rate limits specified in their license agreement. Sentinel AI, LLC reserves the right to throttle or terminate access for abuse.
5. Intellectual Property
The SMAC protocol, its implementation, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property are owned by Sentinel AI, LLC. These Terms do not convey any ownership rights. SMAC™ and Sovereign AI Memory™ are trademarks of Sentinel AI, LLC. Patent pending.
6. No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SENTINEL AI, LLC MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SENTINEL AI, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SMAC API.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Sentinel AI, LLC harmless from any claims arising from your use of the SMAC API or violation of these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Montgomery County, Texas.
10. Changes
Sentinel AI, LLC may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
